Simple Pleasures has two shows annually: A nature show featuring strictly nature photography (nothing man-made within the image) is held IN THE SPRING and the Simple Pleasures competition based on images from life's simple pleasures (uplifting, family friendly images convey the feeling of pleasure [no nudity]) is held IN THE FALL.
All events occur at the McRitchie-Hollis Museum,
74 Jackson Street in historic downtown Newnan, Georgia.
Simple Pleasures received high praise from collectors and Atlanta Celebrates Photography participants for being one of the strongest photography shows in Georgia at its inaugural show in 2010 and continues its high standards today.
The contest, which is open to professional and amateur photographers, focuses on "life's simple pleasures." For the fall show that is interpreted by previous judges to include a human or animal element which convey the feeling of pleasure (no nudity). The spring show features nature photography with no man-made elements. "A photograph should never have to be explained," notes 2016 nature photography judge Kathryn Kolb.
ELIGIBILITY -- NO AGE LIMIT
